Like i said last year, Shitclair mate of mine has been his personal football skills coach for 3 years, the guy is fit, quick, durable but has NFI about playing football. he is still being taught how to drop the ball from his hand and onto his boot.

Lots were off today

Ben has a lot of guts, you will never see him pull out, his head is always over the ball, he goes back for seconds, and thirds, and never quits.

The same was said start of last year, not by me, I laughed last.

All those asking why Maxy is captain, take a look at today for your answer.

We missed him big time.

He would have shredded heater for that idiot brain fade, that was a goal for nix

Not Dids mate, friday looked slow and unfit. Puffing after 10 min of exertion like a steam train, He could only play sub. No good if someone gets injured early.

Krak looked ok.

Forward pressure and tackling is great, but at the end of the day he is being played as a forward, and as a forward he needs to be able to kick goals. Until he can start kicking goals he doesn't belong in the best 22

But when he gets the pill, what does he do with it? - Crucifies it is what he does!

Forget about the work down the field to get it to him, must be a friggen relief when he tugs it wide of the goals from 35m 9 times outta 10!

He's the one going into packs to get it, haven't seen to much of the getting it to him

Pendles nearly snapped the pole today too!

Right now he's a better option than Dids, maybe if crake comes up, swap him out, but he doesn't deserve a "new" thread trashing him like this.

I do agree we have too many small types, as in Blair, Sincs, Elliot. It's hard to have so many smalls on at one time.

Blair was the target for one kick today where it was plainly obvious the opposition player was going to smash the ball from behind too easy.

Yes, some people seem to have a need to make scapegoats out of young men who are a hundred times fitter, more dedicated and talented than the keyboard heroes will ever be. For some reason the hyenas seem to have settled on Sinclair for the moment. It used to be Ben Johnson and Alan Toovey.

Sinclair can play, and he had a bad one today. So did Sidebottom, Shaw and Goldsack, among others. His field kicking and composure needs work (the "human sprinkler" tag fits, at times), but he can get it and he often does useful things with it. When he does not have it, he throws himself at whoever's got it. He'll be a 100+ game player in the end. Malthouse said that he was in the 2011 best 22 when fit and firing, and Buckley clearly thinks so too. I think those two know enough about football to judge it best.

Without trying to put too much emotion into this response and without it sounding like a personal attack on the kid, I simply don't rate him as an AFL footballer. He has some terrific defensive/pressure traits and skills which obviously arouses Nathan Buckley, causing him to select Sincs more often than not. Reality is, Ben Sinclair is not as good as Alex Fasolo. Not as good as Alan Didak. Not as good as Andrew Krakouer. Not as good as Brent Macaffer. Not even as good as young Ben Kennedy. Yet this week, he got a game in the starting line-up ahead of ALL of them. C'mon Bucks, get fair dinkum...

So now you compare him to Pendles in a one off, poor comparison.
Dids- pfft, he couldn't blow Dids' candles on his birthday cake - even old and injured, Dids is a better option.

He hasn't had a thrashing - not from me at least - I just say it as I see it. The guy can't convert when he needs to - Please show me where I have made a misjudgement on this.

Exactly.

DTM, now is not the time for scapegoating.

In my view we missed Maxwell's toughness & leadership in the back line as well as Beams / Ball in the middle.
