If we do play a few games at Vic Park, it will simply be a swan song, as once our new training ground is built next to the Lexus centre, I believe that's where our VFL side will be playing. |

ROUND 2
Ron Todd Cup
COLLINGW09D v Williamstown
Visy Park? Unlikely, I spoke to Keith Burns recently and Visy (Pounces or Price-Fixer, or Scumbaggers Park. Formerly Otpuss Oval, MC Hammer Park and Princess Park) Park can not be used as it is now a building site. It would appear that this is a temporary allocation until a more viable venue is secured.
What you can dream, you can do.
ROUND 1
Saturday April 11
COLLINGW09D v Geelong
2pm VICTORIA PARK
ROUND 2
Saturday April 18
The Ron Todd Cup
COLLINGW09D v Williamstown
1pm VICTORIA PARK
You seem dissapointed Bruce. I know several people that will be over the moon about this and their names feature heavily in the Official illustrated Collingwood Encyclopedia.
Those that don't wish for a return to Victoria Park have never played on her. _________________ "MAKE COLLINGWOOD GRATE AGAIN"

I went to about half the 2nds matches last year and I really loved it.
Low key, no hassles with ticketing/seating/crowds/queues/security blah blah.
Being there with the boys in Black&White is what counts for sure.
And being at Victoria Park, will make it all the sweeter.
My heart is bursting with happiness today. _________________ Side by side we Stick together |

im with you paul i refuse to go to the ground of the filth, just driving past that shithole is bad enough ,the last time i went there was in 2000 when they flogged us so that ground has nothing but bad memories for me including the day paul roos kicked a goal with 11 seconds to go after we nearly pinched it |

One of the greatest pleasures for a small handful of diehards was to see the development of Dawes Wellingam Macaffer Cook ect ect.
We have a huge list of young talent a list that will eventually take us to AFL premiership glory..
Whilst some supporters took glee in assasinating some youngsters at Collingwood AFL level after a loss the same folk would not go and support the youngsters at VFL level.
Behind the scenes at Collingwood VFL it is hugely run by dedicated volunteers, It was a joy for many of us to befriend such loyal club people . Infact some of our best times in 2008 came from barracking for the mighty Black and White in the VFL.
Easily out supported during the whole season and at some games no more than 60 Collingwood supporters would bother turning up the VFL squad did us no shame, infact it's run home late in the year was a priviledge to be a part of and only confirmed that this club aint far away..so lets hope if our boys return to Vicky Park we get more than a handful of supporters.
To Gavin Brown and everyone who worked so hard in 2008 at VFL level congratulations and well done. We're just as excited to see you guys again as we are to see the senior boys. |
Yeah mate,i saw you and your hardy little band at casey fields in the freezing pissing rain this season,on tele,so you certainly do practice what you preach.Travelling out to the arse end of the world in freezing cold to watch kids is a special type of fan.Not for me,though i will attend vic park if the weather is ok,be a great chance to relive the old days of my reckless youth, and to reminice on old times long gone. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

If the games can't be played at Vic Park, why not than at the Brunswick Street Oval? hehe, would be awesome in my opinion.
Looking forward to the training base to be finished. Expecially if we play our home games for our VFL side there. |

Those that don't want to see Collingwood play at Victoria Park have never played there themselves. Everyone that has played for Collingwood at Victoria Park wants to see the VFL Magpies play there.
