3 games in the VFL have been marked down to be played there in 2009.

Quote:
Chief executive Gary Pert last night confirmed the club was looking for a new ground and it may be back to the future.
"We've got two or three different options about where to play the games next year," he said.
"Victoria Park is one of those options. We're dealing with councils and other clubs. It's not just up to us."

Our VFL side was easily one of the most unsupported VFL teams in 2008 it was embarrassing and dissapointing. Especially when hearing that the general opinion was that when leaving the Williamstown support for the VFL boys in Black and White would increase.
One of the greatest pleasures for a small handful of diehards was to see the development of Dawes Wellingam Macaffer Cook ect ect.

We have a huge list of young talent a list that will eventually take us to AFL premiership glory..
Whilst some supporters took glee in assasinating some youngsters at Collingwood AFL level after a loss the same folk would not go and support the youngsters at VFL level.
Behind the scenes at Collingwood VFL it is hugely run by dedicated volunteers, It was a joy for many of us to befriend such loyal club people . Infact some of our best times in 2008 came from barracking for the mighty Black and White in the VFL.
Easily out supported during the whole season and at some games no more than 60 Collingwood supporters would bother turning up the VFL squad did us no shame, infact it's run home late in the year was a priviledge to be a part of and only confirmed that this club aint far away..so lets hope if our boys return to Vicky Park we get more than a handful of supporters.
To Gavin Brown and everyone who worked so hard in 2008 at VFL level congratulations and well done. We're just as excited to see you guys again as we are to see the senior boys.

Im afraid that crap argument bares no relevance. The young lads wore the famous collingwood jumper and deserved support regardless of that shit-hole in royal parade they had to play in Wink

I agree 100% Joffa.

I hate the Blues as much as anyone but I still attended Price Fixer Park to see our VFL lads play.

Happy to see some games at Vic Park, but can't wait until the Olympic Park site is developed and we have a full time VFL home.

Tough VFL draw for us with games up in Bendigo, Ballarat & Geelong, although the road trips should be fun.

I agree I d watch the pies anywhere,i think it would be a better feeling beating teams on carltons ground.

It was a hard year foor the reserves, first year in,and we had alot of injuries,so most the reserves were getting senior action,to cover for seniors that were injured.

I f we get games at vic park,it would be a really good experience to get back in there and see some of our younger players maybe bloom into future stars.

so dont stress were they play lets just ALL do our best to support our team.

NO MATTER THE GROUND OR SITUATION.

Naturally were gunna play games at carltons ground, there on the AFL'S payroll and the Victoria police too probably,,,,dirty rats.

Plenty of hard work to do.

The current election may throw things one way or another but we fight on for those that have cheerished the hallowed turf of Victoria Park.

Names like Thompson, Rose, McHale, Richards, Twomey, Brewer, Shaw, Banks, Brown, Daicos, Rumney, Coventry, Hickey, et al. These great men and people that adoured them had one true love. Victoria Park.

Victoria Park for the people of Collingwood!!!!

Floreat Pica!!!

At last some good news!! Very Happy

Going to piggery last year to watch the VFL boys was like going to 'Castle Grey Skull'

But as Corfe said we must support these young lads no matter where they play.
