I recall you posting that our coach and Eddie should receive honorary life memberships towards the end of 2007.

| Eddie is a legend of the club by way of a leader and administrator, but all things come to an end, and when your in the business of winng GF's and you have zip after 18 years then change can be good for the club no matter how good Eddie is and has been for the club. |

Geez the art of diversion is all over Nick's. I'm not necessarily blaming you Fire Up, but whenever someone puts the heat on the current administration look at the way people get on to derail a thread by inane comments about numbers and things. Fiddling while Rome burns!
I sure hope you're right Turtle, because God knows we need a change at Collingwood. This Lexus Centre mob (they are NOT Collingwood as those of us growing up with the club believed CFC to be) are stealing OUR club right from under our noses. God I'd love to send James Bond in there to sort them!
* They betrayed us on Victoria Park!
* They keep raising the membership fees above the level of other clubs for less reward (i.e. no social club for social club members  ).
* The cheer squad has been stuffed for years and their way of solving it is to turn to corporate elitism and believe people should pay exorbitant fees to be a member.
* They keep failing to deliver on the trading front.
* The jury is still out on our drafting in recent years (and I'm holding my breath for Saturday).
* In eleven years Eddie has still not delivered a premiership (it took Jeff Kennett four and he's leaving in three more years).
* Mick Malthouse has not won a flag for 17 years and the club still believes he can deliver us one - dream on!
* The board has a grand total of 25 games experience for Collingwood (Ian McMullin). The rest only kick footies in their dreams!
Shall I go on?

Rush, Rose, Coventry, Collier, Buckley, Thompson, Tuddenham, McKenna, Price, Weideman, Merrett, Kyne, Curtis, Rumney, Regan, Proudfoot, McHale, Brown, Millane, Daicos, Shaw, Banks, Burns, Richardson, Twomey, Richards, Pannam, Saunders, to name a handful off the top of my head. All LEGENDS of this club.
Your brash comment devalues their immense contribution to the history and legacy of the Collingwood Football Club.
While I agree that Eddie has been a good servant of the Club, he is far from a legend by any measure.

Please don't go on, James Bond is make believe dude. Please don't go on with your make believe stuff.
Craig Kelly may be your messiah. But what has he done? Is he interested in a board position? Has he had further success with football clubs?
He does run a successful marketing business.
As far as football goes, his son got smashed by mine in the under 9's this year.
So our under 9's pres has a better CV?
