So it is very nice indeed to see my team - the very team I put forward in the thread Nick's Posting XXII -- R.14 v Saints almost four years ago - picked to represent us against the dreaded Bye.
In all our glorious history, we have never beaten the Bye, and I know the experts say it can't be done, but Tannin and Tannin and the boys (not to mention young Tannin - very important player that one) are dead set keen to give it a real red hot go.

OUT: Gazza05 (knee), The Prototype (omitted), nomadjack (lost on way to game), The Ru is on Fire (suspended), Skaman (banned for life), Favourites 2006 (flu), Johnson #26 (retired), Zakal (traded to Richmond), Stui (knee), Magpie (lost in the carpark), DaVe86 (black death), Dave the Man (suspended for 12 weeks), Madness (corkie), -magpies are 2 good- (thigh), Nuxta (omitted), Joel (broken leg), Proud Pies (still sleeping it off), Leggie (thigh), ad4eva (stress fractures), Tess (legs of course), 3rd Degree (missed bus).
As a bonus, you youngsters on the bench should get a fair bit of game time this week - I have a fair workload and expect to be getting a bit tired in the second half. |

Looks like I am still in the line up, im not in the OUTS so the pies and chess man will turn up to play, and rock on and kick some serious bye butt.! _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

No worries P&C. Any particular favourite position? You can have my spot at full back if you want it. Or, if you prefer, you can have my spot on the wing. But you might be better suited filling in for me at centre half-forward. Of course, there is something to be said for replacing me in the ruck, although I can imagine you enjoying a run on the ball (where you would replace me).
Just say the word.
PS: I'm playing in the back pocket at the moment. If you want to have a go at a career move into defence, you could have my spot. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Tannin, no probs mate, always fancied meself as a peter mckenna type full forward, drop punt 60 metre kicks, blind buddy like turns, untold brilliance, and spinning on a five cent piece. Do a Clokey and have six on the board at half time, then a spell on the bench, let Tannin fill in for me, while me and Tannin gorge ourselves silly on dimmies and chilli burgers washed down with powerade and ouyzo and coke.
Might have to spend the entire second half on the dunney though, but then again Tannin and sub Tannin can fill in for us. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Sorry Coach. Did my best.
Very pleased with the outstanding defensive effort of Tannin, Tannin, and Tannin on the back line, ably assisted by young Tannin dropping back to go third man up, and not unhappy with the midfield (we halved the clearances with zero each), but bitterly disapointed with the forwards - between them, Tannin, Tannin, and Tannin didn't manage a single contested mark, and none of them troubled the scorer. Our best attacking option was substitute Piesnchess, who came on half-way through the third quarter, took five good solid marks on the lead, and booted all five out on the full. Useless bugger.
Still, we held the dreaded Bye to a draw, so I suppose that's a success of a kind. Not the result we were looking for though. Sorry Coach. _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |
