I'm fed up with the pathetic AFL Players Association allowing their members to be tested for recreational drugs during the off season. These are not drug cheats taking performance enhancing drugs, these are young blokes having a bong, snorting some coke or going to a rave and taking ecstacy. Personally I abhor all drugs, especially alcohol, which after all is this country's biggest drug killer by far. But what these players do in their own time, as long as it's not cheating, is of no concern to me. |

Nothing^.I think Mark Stevens said this testing was for research purposes only,so the findings can't be used against the players. |

Yep, just look at the Weagles. Rampant use of drugs did no harm to any of their players at all. Just look at Ben Cousins. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

That fat scumbag pile of shite! He is the worst excuse for a journalist I've seen in 50 years. The guy has a national column yet cannot spell, has grade 2 grammar, and basically can't put a simple sentence together. I'm not talking about being pedantic or perfect either, this is seriously piss-poor writing, with nothing but hyperbole and headlines to recommend it.
Try actually reading his column next time (rather than just scanning to get the gist), it is close to unreadable at times!
Anyway, does this horrendously biased crap make any difference other than the obvious deliberate attempt to de-rail our season make any difference? It's old news and is in NO way performance enhancing, in fact we should be suing the turd for libel or defamation for naming ONE side only when others have higher numbers of offenders. The bitter Walrus is just lashing out because his own ridiculous side is up the crapper for the season. You think Essendon have been ripped off!? WE have played Essendon TWICE during EVERY season except 1991 no one else is even close. (and we have the same record with Carlton) This is just the second time we've only played them once... in over a hundred years. Anyone care to explain that? Luck of the draw? _________________ "If at first you dont succeed...

All of these matters are the sole responsibility of the AFLPA.
Nothing to do with the club as it was in the players own time. _________________ - Side By Side - |

It is so newsworthy that there isn't one article on the AFL web site. However I do have to question the timing of this given that it is just prior to the first round. _________________ Is there any place you would rather be, than with me at the MCG? |

Exactly! If two other clubs have had more test positive, then why the hell where they not named. (I can answer my own question there - it is Collingwood) Also, how did Robbo get these figures? It is supposed to be confidential. _________________ carn the mighty pies! |

I have to say I'm shocked the number is so high after what happened last year. But the fact that we are the only club named really pisses me off.
Stevo just said he cant name the two clubs who had more that us. Why the hell not? _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

So how and why is this different to what happened with Thomas and Keeffe? |

the more i think about it the more disappointing it is that nothing has been heeded by the keeffe and thomas incidents. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle.
